I thought the performance was just okay. I was definitely not impressed. I’ve seen B do that song way too many times. Couldn’t you tell that B was holding back? I’m glad she did though. I was hoping she would show Tina some respect. You just can’t upstage Tina (who looked like she was holding on for dear life).
OMG! I would have never expected Tina to be as stiff and low energy as she was during that performance. I know she is almost 70, but I saw Shirley Caesar at my mom’s church about a year ago, and I believe she would have been able to keep up with Beyonce’s hyper tail during a Gospel performance. I love Ms. Turner, but I think she needs a case of Tahitian Noni juice.
Aww, I can’t seem to get it to play on my computer…sorry that I’ve missed it. I still want to see it…hm, Tahitian Noni Juice, huh? Dang, say it ain’t so? Best wishes to Tina & Beyonce….
I watched the last 10 seconds of this performance about 50 trillion times. Apparently, Ms. Turner forgot she was 100 years old and tried to bust a ninja kick at the end of the song. I’m not sure what injury resulted from the thai kwon do stunt, but the look on her face and watching her jump up and down in pain was COMEDY!
