The aGEnT met the ‘Browns’

I had an awesome opportunity last night to attend the ‘Meet The Browns’ premiere in Hollywood last night. It was definiteyl a star-studded premiere! From Angela Bassett to Vanessa Williams – Hollywood’s Black semi-elite came out to party.

Alicia is getting ‘Fresh’

Alicia Keys has become quite the thespian lately. She’s been seen on the big screen as an assassin in Smokin’ Aces, playing the bestie in The Nanny Diaries, and is currently filming The Secret Life of Bees alongside Queen Latifah and Jennifer Hudson. But in case you can’t wait until 2009 to catch her at your local multiplex, she’ll soon be coming to a television screen near you thanks to Dove and MTV.

Alicia will be seen weekly on MTV during episodes of the (insert air quotes here) reality show The Hills, kicking off its new season on March 24th, in the micro-series Fresh Takes. The series is sponsored by Dove to highlight their go fresh line of products, and Alicia will play Alex, a 20-something who juggles the pressures of her career, dating, city living, friends, family and beauty. Sounds cheesy, but her fans will enjoy weekly doses of the diva during the commercial breaks. For all those looking to escape the Alicia Keys juggernaut, good luck. Resistance is futile.

Hey, Obama Girl, here’s a contest that looks tailor-made for you(tube)!

Obama-mania is already at an ear-piercing pitch — but Ben Affleck and Matt Damon hope to kick it up to “11.” The Oscar-winning pals have joined forces with public-policy group MoveOn.org on an “Obama in 30 Seconds” ad contest.

Beginning March 27, pros (we’re looking at you, Will.i.am) and amateurs alike will be invited to submit a 30-second TV ad urging Americans to vote for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Submissions will be judged by Ben, Matt and a load of other liberal celebs, including Entourage hottie Adrian Grenier, hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons and director Oliver Stone.

Eddie ignores his ‘Angel’

After a National Enquirer report that Eddie Murphy thinks ex Melanie Brown tricked him into getting her pregnant, Mel’s lawyer Gloria Allred says that the actor’s continued refusal to meet daughter Angel is “inexcusable.”

Allred didn’t comment on the Enquirer’s report that a source close to Eddie claims he and Mel only slept with each other three times during their relationship, or that she told him she was on birth control. However, the powerhouse attorney exclusively told us that regardless of the couple’s past, “I think it’s sad and inexcusable that Mr. Murphy chooses to punish his baby by refusing to visit her or be involved emotionally or in person in her life. It’s shocking that he continues to refuse to be involved with his daughter and that he has intentionally missed the precious first year of her innocent life.”

Damn Eddie. . . get it together!!

Make Me A Supermodel?

Well. We all know that Bravo probably will not make any of these kids a supermodel – the only ’super’ they probably will become is a super reality star or simply a plain model – super no – plain. . maybe. In any event, tonight’s episode of Make Me A Supermodel had androgynous Casey packing his bags back to Georgia and Ronnie & Shannon were put in the bottom two (2) for the possibility of getting voting off next week.

Ronnie has been in the bottom 2 about 12,000 times and still comes out swining – the aGEnT’s prediction is Shannon will be going home.
