Usher is #1
Although I wasn’t a huge fan of his latest album, yet in still, Usher debuts at No. 1 on SoundScan’s Pop and R&B Albums charts with his fifth studio album, Here I Stand. This is the highest debut of the year for a male artist.
I think that I’m a little bit upset with Usher because I think the public holds him to such a high standard and we expect such when it comes to his albums. The album simply doesn’t flow for me – there are some standouts – such as What’s Your Name (feat Will.I.Am) – which I think should have been the first or second single based on the tracks listed on the album. All in all – he has a #1 album under his belt – but is it an ever-last album? I think not.
