Cynthia Rodriguez filed a petition for the dissolution of her six-year marriage in a Miami-Dade County circuit court yesterday, after having “exhausted every effort to salvage the marriage,” according to court papers. The marriage between Alex and Cynthia is “irretrievably broken because of the husband’s extramarital affairs and other marital misconduct,” according to her attorneys.

Madonna released a statement Sunday in which she denied being romantically involved with Rodriguez.

According to the filing, Cynthia asked for custody of the couple’s two children, along with child support and alimony.
