Damn! Not Jesse Jr. . .

December 10, 2008

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. reportedly is the “Senate Candidate 5″ mentioned in a 76-page complaint filed by prosecutors against Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who has been accused of a pay-to-play effort to sell the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by President-elect Barack Obama. ABC News on Wednesday quoted federal law enforcement sources saying of the son of the civil rights leader is the candidate identified by the FBI as willing to spend up to $1 million to secure the Senate seat.

Jackson, who has expressed interest in being appointed to the post, is holding a press conference at 4:15 p.m. ET to respond to the suggestion, and has denied any wrongdoing.

Don’t forget, Jesse Jr. shook down the mayors of the southern suburbs when he wanted money for a media blitz for that airport in peotone. That money was taken from poor towns like harvey, etc. And the mayors that didn’t give it got a back lash that was pay to play or lose out on additional federal funds. He’s just like his dad, sad to say. Shake down artist #2 and I don’t know why the press hasn’t brought that up because there was even question about it being legal and it was not. However somehow Jesse got out of it. Robbing the poor, shame.
